About Our Workshops
Do your children love building with LEGO® bricks? We thought it would be great for kids to enjoy sharing the fun with other kids, building their imaginations and building friendships.
As a toy that’s also a flexible building system, LEGO® bricks are perfect for making your children’s ideas come to life. With their friends they can also invent stories for their models to enact.
We believe in helping children to unleash their creativity by letting them choose what they want to build. We are passionate about the power of learning through play.
We bring a wide range of bricks to each session, mostly sorted by colour, for the children to build with. A master builder is on hand to offer help with building and finding the right pieces. We also bring some inspirational models.
With years of experience in designing and making advanced models, we can help children realise their ideas and go beyond just following instructions for kits.
Take a look at our Instagram feed to see some of the models children have built in our workshops. You can find some ideas for builds to try at home on our blog.

We also run building workshops for pupils of St Paul’s Juniors in Barnes on Tuesday lunchtimes. For those that want to go further than just following instructions for sets, we can demonstrate how to make realistic-looking vehicles or buildings, or add mechanisms to custom builds. As with all our workshops we bring a large amount of different types of elements to build with. As well as standard bricks we bring translucent pieces, windows, wheels, Technic gears and axles plus much more.
The workshops are held in Room 27 in the main Junior School building from 12:20pm until 1:15pm on Tuesdays during term. We have space for up to 15 pupils per session. Birthday Parties and At-Home Building Workshops
If you would like us to run a building party at your home, we can come by car and lend you our large selection of bricks to build and play with. We can also bring some inspirational models. Alec and Monique will come to run the session and help you turn your ideas into models. If you’d also like any Lego-themed party games to feature in the session, we can discuss ideas with you in advance and run some of these on the day. For a one and a half hour party we charge £150. Please let us know where you would like the party so we can see if it is feasible to drive there– we are based in West London.
Alternatively, if you have a selection of bricks to build with at home and Alec can reach you in London on public transport, then he can come to you and run a building workshop– these work well for small groups of up to ten. Alec can bring some inspirational models with him. The cost for one of these sessions is £40 for an hour.
Please email us at info@brickbuzz.uk to enquire about running a birthday party or an at-home building workshop.
Bitbuzz Computing at Wednesday Curious Minds
We run computing workshops at the Curious Minds Home Ed group on Wednesday mornings from 11:00am to 12:00pm. The first one in the new year is on 15th January 2025.
Topics covered can include digital image making, the basics of using image editing software, or vector graphics design software. We can also look at an introduction to coding a web page using HTML and CSS or how to code a simple app. Please see the Bitbuzz page for more information about the sessions.
We recommend these sessions for young people of ages ten and above. They cost £10 per attendee per session. Groups are quite small so places will need to be booked in advance– please email info@brickbuzz.uk to book and find out dates.
